A dermaplane is a non-invasive exfoliating treatment which improves the vitality of the epidermis. Dermaplane uses a surgical blade to gently remove the outermost layer of skin which includes dead skin cells and peach fuzz. This treatment improves new skin development and creates an easier pathway for product penetration.

Who Can Benefit
Most people are candidates for dermaplane. If active acne is present it is recommended to clear prior to treatment. This treatment is not for you if you have bacterial infections or viral infections on the skin.
What to Expect
First, is a double cleanse and exfoliation. The skin is de-greased before the dermaplane, which removes dead skin cells and fine hairs from the face. The following steps depend on which dermaplane you choose. A simple Express dermaplane is followed by hydrating serums and followed by moisturizer, toner, and SPF. Dermaplane + Peel is performed using a gentle peel containing a 6% TCA solution to improve surface texture and brighten the skin. Hyaluronic acid serum is then applied. Treatment Preparation
New skin is uncovered during this treatment making it more sensitive to sun damage. It is best to avoid direct sun exposure before and after this treatment. Avoid Retinols 1 week prior to service. If you have a sunburn or active fever blisters/cold sores, treatment cannot be performed.

Results from a dermaplane are immediate. The procedure removes Vellus (peach fuzz) hair as well as the top layer of skin. This leaves the skin exfoliated, brighter and smooth.
