What To Expect

First, the VI Peel app must be uploaded in order to receive detailed, step by step post care instructions. Skin is thoroughly cleansed and fully degreased with 100% pure acetone which strips the skin of all oils and debris. This allows for optimal penetration of VI Peel. The peel solution is then applied layer by layer with a gauze using firm pressure. After the peel is applied, the treatment is considered complete.

Do not apply anything to the skin for 4 hours after the solution is applied. Step by step instructions will be sent to each client in real time. There are specific instructions to follow in the hours after your peel. Post care will be supplied.

  • Contraindications
    The VI Peel has been specifically designed to minimize side effects, but as an active and effective treatment, there is always the possibility that a patient might experience unwanted reactions.

    These are most likely to occur if the patient has any of the following contraindications:

    • Allergy to phenol or aspirin

    • Inflamed skin with open lesions

    • Accutane use within the last 6 months

    • Immune system disorders under active treatment

    • Active cold sores or herpes simplex

    • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

       

  • Treatment Preparation
    Before your VI Peel, make sure to avoid tanning for 2-3 weeks prior (tanning beds or sun exposure). Also avoid using chemical hair removal products or waxing at least 5-7 days before treatment. If you have had recent botox, you must wait 1 week before getting this treatment.   

     

  • Treatment Duration
    This treatment typically takes 45 minutes from start to finish. 

     

  • Repeat
    VI Peel is safe to use every 30-45 days until desired results are achieved.

     

  • Results
    Peeling typically takes place on day 3 following your peel. Peeling can last up to 3-5 days. After the peeling process is complete, at a minimum there will be improvement in evening of skin tone, texture, and fine lines and wrinkles. VI Peel offers 5 different peels each targeting different areas of concerns. Results will vary depending on peel of choice whether its acne, anti-aging, or problems with pigment. 
     

  • Goes Well With..
    VI Peel is typically done as a stand alone. For certain skin types it is safe to add treatments like Dermaplane or Diamond peel.
